School Nurse (RN) | 2026-2027

Soliant is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide general nursing services in a school-based setting near South Bend, Indiana, for the 2026–2027 school year.

This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about supporting student health and wellness and is comfortable managing general nursing responsibilities in a school environment.

Assignment Details

• Hours: 37 hours per week
• School Year: 2026–2027
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Setting: School-based
• Pay Range: $40-45/hr, based on experience
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and health services to students throughout the school day.
• Assess and respond to student health concerns, illnesses, and injuries.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school health protocols.
• Monitor student health needs and provide appropriate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and documentation.
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans as appropriate.
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and follow established emergency procedures.
• Communicate with families, school staff, healthcare providers, and administrators regarding student health needs.
• Promote student health, safety, and wellness throughout the school environment.
• Support compliance with applicable school health policies and nursing standards.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Ability to provide general nursing services in a school-based environment.
• Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with school staff.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday–Friday, throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous school nursing experience.
• Pediatric or adolescent nursing experience.
• Experience working with students in a K–12 setting.
• Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IHPs), medication administration, and school health procedures.
• Experience collaborating with families, educators, administrators, and healthcare providers.
