School Behavior Specialist - Lusby, MD

A school-based role is available in Lusby, MD, seeking professionals skilled as Behavior Specialists or Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) to provide classroom support within a public school setting. This contract position focuses on assisting young students in a general education environment, ensuring quality behavioral interventions and support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 or group classroom support to primary students (Pre-K, 1st, and 2nd grades).
• Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' academic and behavioral progress.
• Monitor and document student behavior and progress regularly.
• Participate in team meetings and communication to facilitate effective interventions.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Behavior Specialist or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Experience working with primary-age students in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to follow behavioral intervention plans and adapt strategies as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Contract position with hours from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Start date: Immediate upon completion of onboarding.
