School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Oakland, California

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for an on-site contract position in San Francisco, CA, serving the San Francisco Unified School District. This role requires conducting pre-K intake assessments and providing FMLA coverage through June 3, 2026. This opportunity offers the ability to support young learners in a dynamic school environment with a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform intake assessments for pre-K students, identifying speech and language needs.
• Provide targeted speech-language support and interventions as per individual student requirements.
• Collaborate with educators and families to develop effective communication strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies.
• Fulfill FMLA coverage duties at Ortega Elementary for the duration of the assignment.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Valid State Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist from the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA).
• Clear or professional Speech Services Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience working in school settings with pre-K populations.
• Completed supervisor reference and proof of licensure must be provided.
• Candidates must NOT be Clinical Fellows (CFs); fully licensed SLPs only.
• Preference for candidates fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or bilingual abilities.
