School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Brockton, Massachusetts

A contract nursing opportunity is available in a school setting located in Brockton, MA, with a start date ASAP through June 22nd. This role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with prior school nursing experience to support the health needs of students during the school day.

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and support to students within the school environment.
• Monitor and manage student health conditions, ensuring a safe and healthy school setting.
• Administer medication and treatments as needed, following healthcare plans.
• Care for students with diabetes, utilizing experience to assist and manage their specific health needs.
• Maintain detailed health records and communicate effectively with school staff and families.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN license with demonstrated experience working in a school nursing role.
• Knowledge and experience in managing pediatric diabetes are highly preferred.
• Ability to remain on-site during school hours from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm, with a 45-minute lunch break.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and adhering to all school health policies.
  
  

This position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week within a supportive school environment. Candidates must be comfortable working within the school building throughout the day.
