School-Based Physical Therapist - Waukegan, Illinois

A contract position is available for a Physical Therapist specializing in school settings to support students from early childhood through 12th grade. This role focuses on providing therapy services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program at a school in Waukegan, IL.

Position Details

• Location: Waukegan, Illinois
• Contract Duration: June 15, 2026 July 26, 2026
• Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM (First and last days end at 3:15 PM)
• Setting: In-person services only
• Multiple positions available
• Work specifically with students requiring special education services (SEDOL)
• Note: Must be a licensed Physical Therapist (PT); Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) are not eligible
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Physical Therapist license (license verification is required)
• Experience providing PT services in school environments preferred
• Ability to deliver therapy services to students ranging from early childhood through 12th grade
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educational staff
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions to support students mobility, strength, and functional skills
• Collaborate with the educational team to integrate therapy goals into the school environment
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements
• Participate actively in ESY program goals and schedules
