This opportunity is for an Onsite Physical Therapist position supporting Extended School Year (ESY) services within a district serving students from kindergarten through age 22. The role is based in Rochester, NY, for a summer contract from July 1 to August 14, 2026.
The Physical Therapist will provide specialized therapy services aimed at improving students' physical mobility, functional abilities, and participation in educational activities. Working 35 hours per week with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch), the therapist will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support individualized education plans (IEPs).

- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services focusing on motor skills, strength, and mobility enhancements
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
- Communicate regularly with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state policies
- Valid New York State Physical Therapy license (mandatory for consideration)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings preferred
- Familiarity with physical therapy interventions geared toward educational environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
