Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A registered nurse with emergency room expertise is needed for a contract role based in Birmingham, Alabama. This position offers a specialized opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced ER environment, supporting patient health and wellbeing during intense and unpredictable situations.
Schedule/Hours:
- Mid-shift (10 AM 10 PM)
- 36 hours per week
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Duration: 13 to 16 weeks
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 3 holidays (combination of major and minor holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve/Day, New Years Eve/Day)
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in emergency nursing
- Previous travel nurse experience is required
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Current license to practice nursing in Alabama or a multistate compact license (no pending license applications)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; blocked schedules cannot be accommodated due to holiday staffing needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert emergency nursing care following clinical protocols
- Assess, triage, and stabilize patients in critical condition efficiently
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately within Cerner system
- Adhere to hospital policies and emergency care standards
