Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A registered nurse with Emergency Room experience is required for a contract assignment in Birmingham, AL. This role is ideal for an RN with a solid background in emergency care and a current Alabama or multistate compact nursing license.
Schedule and Duration:
- Mid-shift: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- 36 hours per week, working 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Every other weekend required
- Duration: 13 to 16 weeks
- Must be available to work three holidays (selected from major and minor holidays including late November, December, and early January dates)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Emergency Room nursing
- Prior travel nursing experience is required
- Experience using Cerner electronic health records
- Current Alabama or multistate compact nursing license with no pending applications
- Ability to comply with scheduling needs; blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated and may affect candidacy
Responsibilities:
- Providing nursing care for emergency patients with diverse acute conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care
- Utilizing Cerner EHR system for documentation and care coordination
- Triaging patients and responding promptly to emergency situations
- Maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
