Retail Pharmacy Technician in Columbus, OH

An experienced Retail Pharmacy Technician is needed for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Columbus, OH, with a specialty retail pharmacy serving patients with complex medication needs. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and manage medications for patients typically taking 8-15 daily prescriptions
• Communicate effectively and patiently with patients, many of whom have chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis
• Utilize pharmacy software (Pioneer Rx preferred; training available)
• Support pharmacists in providing medication counseling for Medicare/Medicaid and low-income patients with low literacy rates
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and documentation
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Current Ohio Pharmacy Technician license required
• Strong background in retail pharmacy; specialty pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability working with patients with chronic illnesses; resume must explicitly state this experience
• Excellent patient communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medication regimens clearly
• PTCB certification is highly preferred but not required

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
