Retail Pharmacy Manager in Canton, NY

A retail pharmacy located in Ogdensburg, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This role offers flexibility with both interim (3-6 months) and permanent opportunities available. Candidates open to relocating may be considered for permanent placement.

Responsibilities

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge
• Maintain pharmacy compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies
• Manage pharmacy operations to meet financial goals including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control
• Lead pharmacy staff by providing guidance, training, and performance reviews
• Ensure all pharmacy associates complete required company training
• Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers on medication usage, interactions, side effects, and monitor patient progress for optimized therapies
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and department complying with legal and company standards
• Engage in continuous quality improvement programs to promote patient safety
• Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid New York state pharmacist license
• Immunization certification and comfort administering all vaccines (required)
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM 3:00 PM
• Closed Sundays
