An opportunity is available for two experienced specialty pharmacists skilled in managing rare and orphan drugs within a specialty pharmacy setting. This contract role demands expertise beyond retail pharmacy, specifically involving high-touch communication and clinical support to help patients and providers navigate drug approvals and cost-assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense and manage specialty medications for patients with rare diseases
• Collaborate closely with healthcare providers and patients to ensure proper drug therapy management
• Assist with navigating complex drug approval processes, payment assistance, grants, rebates, and related patient support programs
• Provide high-level clinical consultation and communication to optimize patient outcomes

• Strong knowledge of rare/orphan drug handling and patient assistance programs
