Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Woonsocket, Rhode Island

An opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide critical care in a dynamic pediatric and adult Level I trauma teaching hospital. This position involves working primarily in the Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and offers valuable experience in both adult and pediatric respiratory therapies.

Location:This role is based in the Woonsocket, Rhode Island area, serving a renowned teaching hospital recognized for high-acuity adult and pediatric patient care. Woonsocket offers a blend of small-city charm with access to rich New England culture and convenient amenities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services to pediatric and adult patients in a Level I trauma center
• Perform respiratory assessments, ventilator management, and airway care in the PICU and Pediatric ED
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Participate in teaching and training initiatives within a teaching hospital environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with hospital protocols
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential with a valid Rhode Island license
• Pediatric respiratory therapy experience, especially in Pediatric ED and PICU settings
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications strongly preferred
• Experience working in ICU and Level I trauma centers is highly desirable
• Ability to work night shifts on a 3x12 schedule (specific days to be discussed during the interview)
