Registered Nurse School Setting - Wappingers Falls, NY

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Prior experience working in school, residential, or habilitation settings is highly valued
• Familiarity with medical documentation standards and compliance
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Confidence in medication administration and monitoring health needs
  
  

Role Highlights

• Oversee nursing care for diverse age groups within both residential and educational environments
• Attend and contribute to Annual Life Plan Meetings, advocating for each individual's health and wellbeing
• Provide nursing support, medication pour follow-ups, and ensure up-to-date, thorough Med Book documentation
• Serve as an essential liaison, collaborating closely with staff and families to promote optimal care
• Monitor, identify, and address health needs as they arise
  
  

Available Positions

• Residential Registered Nurse: An itinerant role within the district, offering a flexible 40-hour workweek (Monday–Friday, day shifts)
• Day Habilitation Registered Nurse: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM–3:30 PM (36.25 hours weekly), supporting day habilitation programs
