Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the students tracheostomy care, including suctioning and cleaning.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding.
- Provide academic support and supervise the student during electives outside of the special education classroom.
- Ensure safety and well-being during transitions and throughout the school day.
- Maintain clear communication with educators, staff, and family regarding health status and needs.
- Current RN license with experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
- Skills in tracheostomy care and suctioning are essential.
- Ability to provide feeding support and familiarity with ADLs.
- Comfort working with a non-verbal student and collaborating in an educational environment.
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and compassionate, patient-centered care approach.
- Monday through Friday, roughly 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with potential early release at 2:30 PM if duties are completed.
- This is a contract position based in Moravia, NY, with services extending to surrounding areas.
