Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Torrance, CA

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Active and valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• BLS certification (current and in good standing)
• Knowledge of current operating room practices, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and maintain patient safety
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and instruments for surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical techs throughout procedures
• Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Document all aspects of patient care and interventions accurately and timely
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding perioperative care
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development as required
