Registered Nurse Oncology | Ballwin, Missouri

Provide expert nursing care as an RN on the 8 West Oncology unit in a reputable hospital setting known for advanced cardiovascular and trauma services. This 13-week night shift assignment offers flexible weekly hours (36 or 48), with schedules designed around patient care needs. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to oncology and related med-surg patients, including neuro overflow and end-of-life cases
• Perform comprehensive assessments, medication administration, physical assessments, and EMR documentation using EPIC
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold hospital mission, values, and service standards
• Adapt to changing schedules and unit float requirements within the med-surg service line
  
  

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri or licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year med-surg inpatient nursing experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Preferably skilled in oncology nursing with Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) chemotherapy certification
• Ability to work effectively on night shifts, including orientation availability on day shift

This position is a contract role with potential flexibility in hours and schedules. Weekend shifts occur no more than every other weekend, assigned per unit needs.
