Oncology Registered Nurse - Chesterfield, Missouri

Role Details

• Position Type: Contract (13 weeks)
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly Hours: Flexible guarantee (36 or 48 hours)
• Unit: 8 West Oncology, 15-bed unit
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5 or 1:6
• EMR System: EPIC
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
• Administer medications including chemotherapy and provide symptom management for oncology and medical patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate optimal patient care
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to established standards and protocols
• Utilize clinical judgment to monitor patients conditions and respond to changes promptly
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Current RN license eligible or licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required; Oncology experience and ONS Chemo Certification preferred
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Competent in medication administration, physical assessments, and electronic medical records documentation
• Ability to provide float coverage within the med/surg service line as needed
