Role Details
- Position Type: Contract (13 weeks)
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: Flexible guarantee (36 or 48 hours)
- Unit: 8 West Oncology, 15-bed unit
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5 or 1:6
- EMR System: EPIC
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Administer medications including chemotherapy and provide symptom management for oncology and medical patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate optimal patient care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to established standards and protocols
- Utilize clinical judgment to monitor patients conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Current RN license eligible or licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience required; Oncology experience and ONS Chemo Certification preferred
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Competent in medication administration, physical assessments, and electronic medical records documentation
- Ability to provide float coverage within the med/surg service line as needed
