Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER RN) - Overland Park, Kansas

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years ER RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic emergency department environment as a Registered Nurse specializing in ER care. This 13-week contract position allows you to deliver critical, life-saving interventions and work alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team.

Schedule/Hours

• 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am
• Two positions at 36 hours per week; one position at 48 hours per week
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Proven experience working in an Emergency Room setting
  
  

Role Responsibilities

• Rapidly assess, triage, and provide care for patients experiencing a wide spectrum of emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and interventions
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and expertly handle medical equipment
• Deliver patient and family education while ensuring compassionate, clear communication during high-stress situations
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and departmental protocols
