Registered Nurse CVOR | Edison, New Jersey

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing, located in Edison, NJ. This contract position requires a commitment to excellence in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical environment, supporting complex cases such as valve replacements, CABG, and advanced endovascular procedures.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current, active RN license in New Jersey or Compact license required
• Minimum 2.5 years of CVOR nursing experience
• Proficient with EPIC electronic charting system
• BLS certification mandatory
• Skilled in cardiovascular procedures including valve replacement, CABG, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repair, dissection, VATS, and vascular cases like endovascular AAA and carotid endarterectomy
• Experience working in CVOR and hybrid room settings
• Ability to float to Main OR for orthopedic, general, gynecological, robotic, neuro, vascular, and pediatric surgeries
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care in CVOR with focus on high volume and high acuity cardiovascular surgeries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive perioperative care
• Adhere to facility protocols, including on-call schedule: one weekend per month plus two weekday shifts per week
• Maintain strict compliance with charting, scheduling, and call-off policies
• Support inpatient care during holiday rotations as required

Schedule

• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (07:00 19:30)

This role also accommodates both local and first-time travel nurses, with flexibility to support a dynamic call and holiday schedule. Scrubs are provided.
