Responsibilities

• Accurately deliver radiation therapy as prescribed by physicians, ensuring technical excellence and patient safety.
• Collaborate effectively with radiation oncology nurses, physicists, dosimetrists, and front office staff to maintain seamless patient care.
• Perform patient simulations, design custom blockings, and manage immobilization devices to optimize comfort and reproducibility.
• Maintain and update patient treatment schedules, including simulations and off-cord treatments, coordinating changes with the team.
• Conduct daily quality assurance checks on treatment machines, simulators, and CT scanners, reporting any deviations promptly.
• Process orthogonal/port films and ensure adherence to departmental protocols.
• Maintain accurate radiation therapy charges and document patient care thoroughly.
• Uphold safety procedures, proper body mechanics, and infection control practices.
• Contribute to a clean and well-stocked work environment, supporting colleagues as needed.
• Participate actively in weekly chart rounds and contribute ideas for enhancing patient and guest satisfaction.
• Demonstrate compliance with professional conduct and report any concerns or violations appropriately.
