A leading 300-bed children’s hospital is seeking three experienced pharmacists for a contract assignment in Pittsburgh, PA. This opportunity supports a dynamic healthcare environment specializing in pediatric care, leveraging advanced systems such as EPIC to enhance patient outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and compliance
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize drug therapy
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide clinical consultations
- Utilize EPIC IT system for documentation and order processing
- Uphold hospital policies and safety standards to ensure patient safety
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license is required
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience or completion of a pharmacy residency preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
