Pharmacy Technician in Palatine, IL

This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position supporting a behavioral healthcare facility with an average daily census of 145 patients and a medication volume of 300-400 scripts daily. This contract role requires a dedicated individual to help maintain an efficient medication distribution process within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Location:

Schedule

• Approximately 2-3 shifts per week through July
• Coverage hours typically 6am-4pm, with potential for extended hours
• Possible weekend coverage on the same schedule
  
  

Responsibilities

• Accurately fill and deliver medications to patient units
• Utilize pharmacy order entry system (HCS) and Omnicell automationtraining provided
• Complete required 2-3 day training and orientation before starting
• Walk up to 10,000 steps daily as part of medication delivery responsibilities
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (required)
• Ability to manage physical demands of the position, including extensive walking
• Comfort working with computerized order entry and automated dispensing systems (training available)
  
  

Professional Appearance & Dress Code

• Scrubs (black or gray) or business casual attire required
• Closed-toed shoes mandatory
• Natural hair colors only; no bright or unnatural colors such as green, purple, or blue
• Clothing must be free of rips, stains, or tearsno jeans, spaghetti straps, or hoop earrings
• Face piercings permitted; no hats unless for religious or medical reasons
