This full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician position offers an opportunity to support pharmacy operations in a dynamic environment. Located in Columbus, OH, this contract-to-hire role involves working closely with pharmacists to serve patients efficiently while maintaining a well-organized pharmacy department.
Schedule and Hours:
- 1st shift
- Monday to Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Thursday: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the pharmacist in serving patients and managing daily pharmacy activities
- Greet customers warmly and address their inquiries professionally
- Receive and verify prescriptions for accuracy and validity
- Process electronic prescriptions, ensuring all data is complete and precise
- Address and resolve issues such as rejected insurance claims promptly
- Select appropriate medications and measure dosages accurately for prescription filling
- Manage medication inventory through sorting, stocking, and labeling
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license in Ohio
- Experience in retail pharmacy or similar settings preferred
- Proficiency with Pioneer Rx pharmacy software highly preferred
