A healthcare facility in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their pharmacy operations. This is a contract position offering the opportunity to work full-time with multiple shift options available throughout the day.
Location: Berkeley, CA
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts starting at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM
- 8.5-hour shifts (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications as directed by pharmacists
- Assist with inventory management and restocking pharmacy supplies
- Support IV medication preparations; technicians with some IV experience are preferred
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
- Provide excellent communication and customer service to patients and healthcare teams
Desired Experience:
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred
- Exposure to intravenous (IV) medication preparation is a plus
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
