A healthcare facility is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support their pharmacy operations on a part-time contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment serving a high volume of prescriptions daily.
Location: Round Lake, IL (Local candidates only)Schedule:
- 2-3 shifts per week through July
- Coverage hours 6:00 AM 4:00 PM daily; occasional extended hours may be required
- Weekend coverage possible from 6:00 AM 4:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill and deliver medications to patient units, supporting efficient pharmacy workflows
- Utilize the HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation, with training provided
- Complete 2-3 days of orientation prior to starting to ensure full familiarity with site procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to dress code guidelines geared toward professionalism and safety
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure required
- Ability to walk up to 10,000 steps per day as the role involves active movement throughout the facility
- Comfortable working within defined dress code standards, including wearing scrubs or business casual attire and closed-toe shoes
