A fast-paced pharmacy located on Chicagos North Side seeks a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support its long-term care and retail operations. This role involves managing high prescription volumes of approximately 500 per day, requiring precision and efficiency in all pharmacy tasks. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for motivated candidates aiming to secure a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls from patients and healthcare facilities, providing professional support
• Accurately process prescriptions including data entry and medication filling
• Assist daily pharmacy operations, maintaining workflow in a high-volume setting
• Use pharmacy software (AssistRx) with training provided to ensure accurate prescription management
• Adhere to pharmacy policies and procedures to maintain compliance and safety standards
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license (mandatory)
• Experience in data entry, phone support, and filling prescriptions
• Ability to manage workload efficiently in a busy environment
• Long-term care experience is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
