Pharmacy Director | Lancaster, Ohio

Oversee pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a community hospital located in Logan, Ohio. This contract role begins on March 16, 2026, and continues until a permanent replacement is hired; the current Directors last day is March 27, 2026. The position is critical to maintaining the pharmacys high standards following a recent DNV accreditation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental meetings
• Oversee narcotics ordering and inventory control
• Perform sterile compounding duties as part of daily responsibilities
• Support clinical services across specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics
• Provide on-call coverage and weekend rotations as scheduled
• Utilize EPIC for order entry and Pyxis for automated medication dispensing
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Current Ohio Pharmacist license required
• Prior inpatient pharmacy experience essential, including knowledge of IV therapy and 340B programs
• Experience with EPIC and Pyxis preferred; on-site training available
• Strong leadership abilities with facility in handling staff and operational duties
  
  

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call coverage: 4-10 hour shifts with weekend on-call starting Fridays through Mondays approximately every 4th weekend

• Pharmacy team includes 1 full-time and 2 PRN pharmacists supported by pharmacy technicians
