Pharmacist in Shenandoah, IA

A growing hospital team is establishing a new Chronic Illness & Pain Management Pharmacy and seeks an experienced Retail/Outpatient Pharmacist to help launch this specialized service in a rural community setting. Location: Approximately 1 hour from Omaha, NE (Red Oak, IA)

Shift: Day Shift | 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

Job Type: Direct Hire (Contract-to-Hire option available)

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the development and launch of the Chronic Care/Pain Management Pharmacy
• Provide high-quality outpatient and retail pharmacy services
• Collaborate closely with providers and care teams to optimize medication therapy outcomes
• Deliver patient counseling focused on chronic disease management
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
• Improve workflow efficiency and pharmacy operations
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Iowa Pharmacist license required
• Experience in Retail and/or Outpatient Pharmacy is essential
• Ambulatory Care experience is strongly preferred
• Board Certification in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy (BCACP) highly desirable
• Strong clinical knowledge in chronic illness and pain management is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a rural or small-town environment
