Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy professional is needed on a contract basis to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety, and delivering expert consultation services to promote optimal medication use.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications.
• Monitor patient medication compliance and detect patterns of over-usage.
• Ensure all medicines are supplied and managed in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Maintain confidential and detailed patient and pharmacy records.
• Counsel patients on proper use of medications, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
• Provide additional patient services including smoking cessation advice, blood pressure checks, and cholesterol management.
• Educate patients on the use and care of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following strict protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
• Active pharmacy license from the New Jersey State Board.
• Proven experience in dispensing and patient counseling.
• Ability to oversee pharmacy operations and staff.
