Per Diem Staff Pharmacist - Waterbury, Connecticut

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy opportunity is available for a PRN Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage at a retail-specialty pharmacy in Waterbury, CT. This engaging role offers a chance to work with a focused, low-volume pharmacy specializing in respiratory medications, ensuring a manageable and steady workflow.

Responsibilities Include

• Accurately filling and verifying approximately 12 prescriptions daily
• Operating independently without technician support
• Offering patient counseling and delivering excellent customer service
• Managing workflow efficiently in a retail-specialty setting
• Ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
  
  

Schedule/Shift

• Assignment Dates: May 31 – June 10
• Training: May 26 – May 29 (4 days required if QS1 system knowledge is lacking)
• Shift Options: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• PRN schedule to cover vacation period
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience with QS1 pharmacy system preferred; training provided if needed
• Ability to work autonomously without technician support
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to patient care
  
  

This per diem contract role offers a structured training period and the chance to contribute in a supportive, focused environment.
