Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Dublin, Ohio

A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking experienced Per Diem Pharmacists to support Spring and Summer vacation coverage. This role focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to patients managing complex medication regimenstypically 8 to 15 medications daily. Ideal candidates will have strong consultation skills and confidence in managing chronic, advanced disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, and multiple sclerosis.

Hours of Operation: Monday Friday

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense medications and review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Provide thorough patient counseling tailored to individuals with complex therapeutic needs
• Manage medication therapy for patients, ensuring adherence and understanding of treatment plans
• Work compassionately with Medicare/Medicaid and low-income populations, many with low literacy levels
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software to manage patient records and pharmacy operations
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Active Pharmacy license for Ohio
• Solid background in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, preferably with specialty pharmacy experience
• Proven expertise in disease state management and patient consultation, especially for chronic conditions
• Exceptional communication skills with patience and empathy for complex patient populations
• Familiarity with Pioneer Rx software strongly preferred
