Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist | Canandaigua, New York

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to provide per diem coverage in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) pharmacy operation. This role involves managing pharmacy workflows in a busy retail setting while supporting a 340B pharmacy program. Immediate coverage is critical to prevent potential temporary closure, making your contribution highly valued.

Job Type: Per Diem

Key Responsibilities

• Opening and closing the retail pharmacy in accordance with operational standards
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth and compliant workflow
• Dispensing prescriptions accurately and counseling patients on medication use
• Utilizing Rx30 software (training provided for candidates with relevant experience)
• Supporting 340B pharmacy program compliance and documentation
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Licensed Pharmacist in New York State, in good standing
• Proven experience in retail pharmacy operations, including opening/closing procedures
• Ability to supervise pharmacy staff effectively
• Familiarity with 340B pharmacy programs preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Thursday, 4/2: 1 PM 7 PM
• Saturday, 4/4: 9 AM 3 PM
• Tuesday, 4/7: 8 AM 7 PM
• Wednesday, 4/8: 8 AM 7 PM
• Saturday, 4/11: 9 AM 3 PM
  
  

Additional Details

• Mileage reimbursement available
• Lodging may be provided for travelers coming from more than 75 miles away, including meal stipends for shifts requiring overnight stays
