Urgent Opportunity for Experienced Pharmacists – Per Diem Positions Available

A busy retail pharmacy team is expanding its per diem pharmacist roster across Northern California and the Bay Area, including Sacramento, West Sacramento, Redding, Chico, and surrounding regions. This role offers flexible, as-needed shifts ideal for pharmacists seeking to supplement their current part-time schedule or those preferring a flexible work arrangement in retail pharmacy settings.

Location:

• West Sacramento, CA, with shifts also available in Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern California (Redding, Chico)
  
  

Schedule/Hours

• Per diem, flexible shifts averaging 1-2 per week
• Must be willing to commute within the specified regions
• Mileage reimbursement for travel exceeding 30 miles one way
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality retail pharmacy services including patient counseling, medication dispensing, and verifying prescriptions
• Manage pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Utilize pharmacy software such as McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 effectively
  
  

Qualifications/Desired Experience

• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience
• Experience managing technicians and pharmacy operations (opening/closing)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Adaptable with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment
• Valid pharmacist license in California
