Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - Rochester, NY

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers a Per Diem opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to provide vital support during a scheduled 2-week coverage from March 17, 2026, to April 3, 2026, in Rochester, New York. The role operates primarily during the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with hours initially set from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the potential to extend until 7:00 pm.

Responsibilities Include

• Accurately entering patient information and prescription orders into the pharmacy computer system.
• Assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
• Managing and ordering over-the-counter (OTC) inventory to maintain proper stock levels.
• Providing excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their needs and addressing concerns.
• Collaborating with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues, facilitating smooth prescription processing.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of recent experience working as a pharmacy technician.
• Experience within retail or 340B pharmacy settings is preferred, highlighting familiarity with a variety of pharmacy operations.
