Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Norfolk, Virginia

A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed for the 20262027 school year to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a school setting located in Norfolk, VA. This contract position follows the academic calendar, providing a consistent schedule aligned with school breaks and holidays.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-regulation challenges. The role involves developing and implementing IEP/504 goals and accommodations tailored to each students needs. You will provide direct therapy, push-in support, and classroom consultation, collaborating closely with teachers, special education teams, and families. Adapting equipment and environments to promote student independence is an essential part of the position, along with documenting services and tracking progress toward therapy goals.

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Valid state Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one
• NBCOT certification preferred
• Experience with pediatric or school-based populations is highly desirable
• Knowledge of assistive technology and sensory strategies considered a plus
