A clinical opportunity is available for an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in a dynamic progressive care unit. This role focuses on managing patients with complex cardiac and medical needs including NSTEMI, post-cath lab care, atrial fibrillation, CHF, GI bleeds, detox, respiratory distress, and sepsis.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage IV drips including nitroglycerin, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and insulin with precision and safety.
- Provide post-cath lab nursing care; art line experience is a plus.
- Titrate medications as ordered in support of patient stability.
- Collaborate with tele/monitor technicians; utilize GE telemetry monitoring.
- Function as charge nurse when assigned, managing up to 2 patients.
- Work alongside nurse aides and respiratory therapists providing CPAP, BiPAP, and Optiflow support.
- Participate in call rotation and float to Med-Surg or IMC overflow as needed.
- Adhere to all facility clock-in/out policies and maintain professional appearance (navy blue scrubs).
- Current RN license with Stepdown or critical care experience.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and EKG Course.
- Comfortable managing nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, occasionally stretching to 1:5 under certain conditions.
- Experience in cardiac medication management, titration of drips, and telemonitoring.
- Ability to work variable shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with scheduled every other weekend and holiday.
