Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients conditions during the immediate post-anesthesia period.
- Administer medications and life support care as needed based on patient-specific protocols.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and effective patient transitions from surgery to recovery.
- Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records according to facility standards.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
- Proven experience in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia recovery protocols and patient monitoring.
- Ability to respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
