Online Sign Language Interpreter - KS

A contracted educational sign language interpreter position is available for the 20252026 school year. This remote telehealth role supports a middle school student with intellectual disabilities, providing 1:1 interpreting services.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivering high-quality sign language interpretation through teletherapy sessions
• Collaborating closely with the student to facilitate effective communication in educational settings
• Maintaining professional standards according to state and national guidelines
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Minimum of 3.5 EIPA rating or higher
• Registration with the Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH) is required or must be initiated promptly
• Requirements for registration include one of the following: 4.0 EIPA or ESSE; national certification such as RID, advanced BEI; KQAS Level 4 or above; Certified Deaf Interpreter; or Qualified Video Remote Interpreter
