Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and expertise to patients involved in bone marrow transplant and cellular therapy clinical trials.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, IRB, departmental, and institutional regulations.
- Participate in patient recruitment, consenting, enrollment, and feasibility assessments.
- Conduct medical tests and procedures to facilitate study-related visits.
- Administer investigational medications, educate patients, and monitor side effects and adverse events.
- Coordinate data collection, documentation, and reporting for ongoing clinical studies.
- Collaborate with investigators, research teams, sponsors, IRB, and institutional personnel during monitoring and audits.
- Assist in research program development, integrating nursing perspectives to enhance clinical trial management.
- Maintain excellent organization to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Bachelors degree in nursing or Associates degree plus two additional years of relevant experience.
- Current California RN license (CA-BRN) is required.
- Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification preferred.
- Minimum two years experience in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant/Hematology-Oncology Nursing.
- Experience in clinical research, preferably one year or more.
- Strong knowledge of Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families with excellent communication skills.
