Occupational Therapist - School-Based (Elgin, IL)

A school district in Elgin, IL is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide full-time or part-time support across two buildings for the remainder of the school year (ASAP through June 2nd). This position offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students, supporting their therapeutic needs within a school environment on a contract basis.

Schedule And Assignments

• Full-time or part-time options available
• Two buildings: 3.5 days per week at Elementary level, 1.5 days per week at Middle School level
• Contract duration: Immediate start through the end of the school year (June 2nd)
  
  

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students with varying abilities across K-12 settings
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment goals, and provide interventions to improve students functional performance in educational environments
• Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation in accordance with school district guidelines
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to student care
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license with experience in school-based settings
• Knowledge of K-12 occupational therapy practices and federal/state educational regulations
• Proven ability to work effectively with school-aged children and collaborate within educational teams
• Flexibility to work across two buildings with varied schedules
