Occupational Therapist School Setting - Canandaigua, NY

An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in school-based therapy to support students with diverse and multiple diagnoses. This position is based in Canandaigua, NY, within a single school building, offering consistency and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions tailored to students aged 13 to 22 with multiple diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy goals accordingly.
• Support students in developing functional skills necessary for academic and daily living success.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of accommodations and modifications within the educational environment.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapy license with experience in school-based settings.
• Expertise in working with adolescents and young adults with complex needs.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school personnel.
• Ability to work independently within a structured school environment.

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
• Work hours: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Contract term: ASAP start through the end of the school year (June 26).
• No travel between buildings; all work conducted within one school facility in Canandaigua, NY.
