Provide specialized occupational therapy services focused on pediatric patients facing feeding and eating difficulties. This role requires hands-on experience in assessment and treatment of sensory and mild oral motor feeding challenges within a pediatric outpatient setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapy License
- NBCOT certification and current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric outpatient therapy experience, including feeding techniques
- Experience with sensory diet programs and working with children on the autism spectrum
- Pediatric feeding experience is a firm requirement at submission
- Experience in a children's hospital environment is preferred but not mandatory
Location:This position is based in Murrieta, CA, a vibrant city in Southern California known for its family-friendly atmosphere, excellent schools, and access to outdoor recreation including parks and trails. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of pediatric patients with feeding/eating difficulties
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans addressing sensory and oral motor issues
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care goals
- Attend monthly team meetings (optional with schedule flexibility)
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic electronic charting system
Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Tuesday off (with optional monthly team meeting day)
- Contract length: approximately 20 weeks
