Mail Order Staff Pharmacist in Newport, KY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A leading mail order compounding pharmacy is seeking five dedicated Staff Pharmacists for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role offers a unique chance for retail pharmacists looking to transition into a closed-door, digital pharmacy setting with high-volume prescription fulfillment.

Location: Newport, KY

Job Type: Contract to Hire (13 weeks) – potential for direct hire based on experience

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Shift start times rotating between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM
• Saturday rotation on a scheduled basis (advanced notice provided)
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Checking and verifying high-volume prescription fulfillment accurately
• Overseeing pharmacy technician activities to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Handling provider and patient calls as needed
• Adapting quickly to a fast-paced workflow and collaborating effectively with team members
  
  

Desired Experience

• Prior mail order pharmacy experience strongly preferred
• Retail pharmacy experience is welcomed and suitable for transitioning into this role
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Kentucky
