IV Compounding Pharmacist in Charge in Phoenix, AZ

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to join a well-established non-sterile compounding pharmacy specializing in dermatology, hormone replacement therapy, hair restoration, wellness, and weight management. The role supports a growing telemedicine fulfillment service with a dynamic, small team environment.

Location: On-site in Tempe, AZ

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Remote Flexibility: Possible limited remote hours per week

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory oversight and ensure compliance as the Pharmacist in Charge
• Perform final verification checks on non-sterile compounded prescriptions
• Review and approve compounding formulas, batch records, and quality assurance documentation
• Maintain adherence to USP standards and state Board of Pharmacy regulations (CA and AZ)
• Collaborate closely with an existing PIC and pharmacy team to support operations and workflow
  
  

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Active California Pharmacist License (mandatory)
• Active Arizona Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain preferred
• Solid experience in non-sterile compounding (highly desirable)
• Prior Pharmacist in Charge experience or readiness to assume the role
• Ability to work on-site in Tempe, Arizona during regular business hours
