IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in New Hyde Park, NY

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare facility in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking two IV/Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technicians for an immediate 13-week contract with the opportunity to convert to permanent employment based on performance.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday
• Shift options: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM or 10:30 AM – 7:30 PM
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Compound intravenous medications in a clean room environment under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist
• Prepare and fill prescriptions accurately, ensuring compliance with governmental standards and regulations
• Assist Pharmacists in final prescription checks, including labeling and packaging of medications
• Collaborate with Billing Supervisor to enter data for prescription filling and reimbursement processes
• Maintain inventory by receiving deliveries, rotating stock, logging lot numbers and expiration dates, and assisting with physical inventory counts
• Support Technician Supervisor in maintaining a clean, safe, and fully calibrated workspace
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current New York Pharmacy Technician license
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
• Previous IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician experience is highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment
• Familiarity with pharmacy regulations and compounding procedures
