IV Certified Pharmacy Technician in Lexington, KY

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Lexington-based healthcare facility specializing in long-term care is seeking a dedicated Lead IV Pharmacy Technician to join their team. This role focuses on leadership within the IV compounding area, ensuring medication safety and sterility in a closed-door environment. The ideal candidate will have recent hands-on compounding experience and possess a solid understanding of aseptic techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations in the compounding room
• Prepare intravenous (IV) medications adhering strictly to USP 797 standards and aseptic techniques
• Manage inventory and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Cross-train in the narcotics department to support pharmacy operations
• Utilize software frameworks to document and manage prescriptions efficiently
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory
• Minimum of 2 years recent hands-on IV compounding experience; more experience preferred
• Lead tech experience is advantageous but not required
• PTCB certification is highly preferred but not a requirement
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to attendance and reliability

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
