Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active, unencumbered RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology nursing preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications (current and in good standing)
- Experience with imaging procedures, such as angiograms and biopsies, strongly encouraged
- Excellent IV and moderate/deep sedation skills
- Ability to manage patient pre-, intra-, and post-procedural care
- Strong critical thinking and assessment abilities
- Provide direct care and monitoring for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Assist the interventional team during imaging-guided interventions and therapies
- Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to coordinate patient care and workflow
- Prepare procedural rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready and sterile
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses thoroughly in the medical record
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, infection control, and adherence to policies
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and post-procedural care
