Qualifications And Experience
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with certification in Interventional Radiology (VI) preferred
- Proven experience as an IR Tech in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography, and sterile technique
- Ability to assist physicians during vascular and non-vascular procedures
- Familiarity with PACS and imaging software
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
- Schedule varies based on facility needs; flexibility expected to cover day, evening, or weekend shifts
- Prepare and operate imaging equipment for IR procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to ensure patient safety and procedural accuracy
- Monitor patients during and after procedures, recognizing and reporting changes in condition
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the IR suite, including supply inventory management
- Accurately document procedures, patient responses, and technical factors
- Adhere strictly to radiation safety and infection control protocols
