Responsibilities
Verified and reviewed inpatient medication orders for appropriate dosing, drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and therapeutic effectiveness.
- Prepared and verified IV medications and sterile compounds while maintaining compliance with USP <797>, hospital policies, and medication safety standards.
- Collaborated with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy, provide clinical recommendations, and resolve drug-related issues.
- Managed medication distribution and supported pharmacy operations, including controlled substances, medication reconciliation, antimicrobial therapy, and oversight of pharmacy technicians.
Work Hours
· 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Experience
· Some previous experience working in a hospital environment
· Recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- EPIC experience (ideally)
- PGY-1 Residency
Other Qualifications
· Current and valid New Jersey Pharmacist License
