Hospital Pharmacist - Montgomery, AL

We're seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacistto join a highly-respected hospital in Montgomery, AL. This position is open to both local candidates or travelers, and is an opportunity to join a flagship facility offering a wide range of services including trauma, NICU, and stroke care.

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule:Monday - Friday, Day Shifts

Type: 13-week travel contract (with potential for extension)

Setting: Inpatient

Hospital: 492-bed facility

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead pharmacist on-site during shifts
• Verify and process medication orders, including sterile compounding review
• Provide operational support across inpatient areas, including remote order coverage for sister hospital overnight
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians, providers, and medical staff
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards of care
  
  

Requirements

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital pharmacist experience
• Strong independent practice skills, able to triage and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting
• NICU experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Omnicell, and pharmacy surveillance software a plus

• Multiple pharmacists and technicians on staff during the day
• EMR: Cerner
• Automated dispensing: Omnicell
• Sentri 7 (pharmacy surveillance)
• IVX (sterile compounding verification)
